God is good, He will help Grace through this.
Update: the effects of chemo are hard. Gracies mouth is irritated and she has sores now which is a sign of good things but it feels pretty bad right now. The good thing the chemo is wiping out the bad cells, the bad thing this wipes out the white blood cells which in turn leads to the sores. She’s also pretty tired today. She’s trying to drink water and hot chocolate but
still isn’t terribly interested in the food. Please pray She will drink and eat and the mouth sores will be better with the pain meds. A few less smiles and laughter today but still getting some so those
little glimpses of heaven are totally getting us through.
Ending thought: God is with us in the pain, doesn’t mean there won’t be any pain. All we can do is cry out to Him. With Gracie, when she’s in a lot of pain she screams and writhes around but the minute her focus is on something pleasant she will have some relief. This is a picture to me of suffering and looking to Jesus.
